Prepared for the final slot of 400X118, the exhibition zones in on album covers from the golden age of Plakçılar Çarşısı [Record Producers' Arcade, situated in the 5th and 6th blocks of the Istanbul Manufacturers' Market], featuring artists of the 90s, forgotten and unforgettable alike, in poses as familiar as they are absurd.
Of the many anachronistic, era-defining poses, some belong to names written in golden letters across Turkish pop music history, while others are of nameless figures fading away in the passing of time. However, they all carry the traces of all the artists that rushed to the recording companies to knock on the door of fame.
Who are these artists whose faces are on the posters all around İMÇ, why did they come, how did they end up here, and why do I find these postures picturesque? Will this show make me a star?

400X118'in son slotu için hazırlanan sergi Plakçılar Çarşısı'nın altın çağını yaşadığı 90'lı yılların unutulmaz ya da hiç tanınmamış sanatçılarının absürt ama bir o kadar alışılmış kaset kapaklarını merkeze alıyor.
O dönemin ruhunu yansıtan anakronilk pozların kimisi Türkiye müzik sahnesinde adını altın harflerle yazdırmış bir isme, kimisi ise zaman içinde unutulup gitmiş, adı dahi hatırlanmayan bir figüre ait. Ancak hepsi, şöhretin kapısını çalmak için plakçılara koşan sanatçıların izlerini taşıyor.
İMÇ’nin dört bir yanını saran posterlerdeki şarkıcılar kimler, neden buradalar, yolları buraya nasıl düştü, peki ben bu pozları neden resmedilesi buluyorum? Bu sergi ile star olur muyum?
